The City of Kyle recently approved a Homestead Exemption for its residents. The exemption will be automatically applied to properties that have a qualified homestead exemption for this tax year. The homestead exempts $40,000 from ad valorem taxation (not to exceed 20% of the value). Residential owners who qualify for the Disabled Person exemption will receive an additional $10,000 exemption as will those who qualify for the Over Age 65 exemption.
